Getting Started: Joining, Menus and Servers

Joining the server

Whitelist: None

If you see "can't connect", a timeout or an expired session, fully restart the game and try again; if it still fails, ask on Discord or open a ticket.

Your first day

You arrive in the login lobby first; type /s (or click the chat prompt) to enter the main lobby.
On your first join you're sent to the tutorial automatically. If you leave, type /newbieTeaching to go back, or use Menu → Dungeon Adventure → Tutorial. Finishing the tutorial unlocks all features.
Grab the starter books (command guide, must-read for new players, server overview) and the menu clock from the chests in the lobby's starter area: right-click opens the menu, left-click opens quick tools.
Take the beginner quest: the chest next to the 「神秘商人」 (Mysterious Merchant) in the lobby gives a quest scroll (once every 30 days). Mine 120 gold ore, 120 iron ore, 320 coal ore, 180 granite and 1,000 stone within 24 hours to earn the netherite pickaxe 「☆ 神秘的十字搞 ☆」 (Efficiency IV, Fortune II, Unbreaking X).
Visit the gift area: Menu → Shop & Trade → Gift house, or type /warp lobby_禮包區.
Pick a playstyle: go to a survival server to build at your own pace, or start with the starter dungeon 莊園雪原 and the first dungeon, Yuanlin Forest, to work towards gear.

Gift packs

Daily random gift: once every 24 hours, giving one of cooked chicken, bottles o' enchanting, a healing potion, a gift-area lottery key or a special lottery key.
20-, 50- and 100-player gifts: right-click them in the gift area to view and claim.
Gift-area lottery machine: uses the gift-area lottery key.
/pkit opens the gift menu with hourly, daily and weekly gifts; “Claim all” under Menu → Daily collects all three at once (and signs you in when you're in the lobby).

Make sure you have inventory space before claiming; gifts lost for lack of space are not replaced. Using alt accounts to farm gifts is strictly forbidden; if you share an IP without being an alt (e.g. siblings), tell the staff before claiming.

Menus and shortcuts

Most of HuanLan's features live in the menu. Its middle holds five big sections: Dungeon Adventure, Daily, My Character, Survival and Shop & Trade. The top row shows your profile, current quest and world level; the bottom row has Back to lobby, Quick tools, More, Beginner's Guide and Sponsorship. New players can type /hlp to open “Start here” and follow steps ① to ⑧.

Survival

The resource world is currently closed; survival servers have the overworld, the Nether and the End.
The survival world and the Nether never reset; the End resets once a year.
Dying doesn't drop your items or experience (on every server).
Portals to the Nether and the End are under Menu → Survival, on survival servers only.

/homeOpen the home menu; /home set <name> to set, /home tp <name> to teleport, /home remove <name> to delete (/sethome and /delhome also work)
/tpa <player>Request to teleport to a player, even on another server (valid 60 s); /tpahere asks them to come to you

Homes can only be set on survival servers and the giant server, not in the lobby or dungeons.

Jobs

You can take a job in the main lobby and on survival servers and earn coins and experience by doing that job's work. You can only have one job at a time; after leaving you can't rejoin the same job for 18 hours, rejoining an old job costs 30% of its level, and the level cap is 250.

Chat channels
