Getting started
- Cast any fishing rod on a server where fishing is enabled. The first time you use it, the rod gets 500 points of 「潮境脈動耐久」 (tide durability).
- Vanilla fish (cod, salmon, pufferfish, tropical fish) become HuanLan fish, each with a rarity, habitat and weight. Vanilla treasure and junk (enchanted books, saddles and so on) stay as they are.
- Fishing earns fishing XP; higher levels unlock more fish and a higher daily selling limit.
- Sell your catch at the 「販售中心」 (sell center) for fish coins, then spend them on augments, bait, repairs and star forging.
Augments, bait, durability and stars are all stored on that specific rod and do not move to a new one, so pick your main rod before investing.
Habitats and rarity
The habitat is decided by where your bobber lands: height first, then biome. Some fish only appear in certain habitats; once you have caught a species, the codex shows its habitat, weight range and base price.
| Habitat | How it is decided |
|---|---|
| Underground | Bobber below Y 0, or in a cave biome (lush caves, dripstone caves, deep dark) |
| Sky | Bobber above Y 256 |
| Saltwater | Ocean biomes (except frozen oceans) |
| Frozen | Frozen and snowy biomes, and ice spikes |
| Swamp | Swamps and mangrove swamps |
| Freshwater | Everywhere else (rivers, lakes and so on) |
Rarities from lowest to highest: 一般 (common), 少見 (uncommon), 稀有 (rare), 史詩 (epic), 傳說 (legendary), 神話 (mythic), 特殊 (special). Boosts to "rare and above" from bait, augments, hotspots and stars apply to rare and every tier above it.

Levels, selling and weighing
Going from Lv.N to the next level takes N^1.4 × 100 XP (rounded down): 100 at Lv.1, 2,511 at Lv.10, 23,908 at Lv.50. The daily selling limit grows with your level and resets every day at 00:00:
| Fishing level | Daily selling limit (fish coins) |
|---|---|
| Lv.1 | 7,961 |
| Lv.10 | 33,827 |
| Lv.25 | 73,950 |
| Lv.50 | 133,295 |
| Lv.100 | 228,338 |
| Lv.200 | 350,909 |
| Higher | Approaches 500,000 |
- You can hold at most 1,000,000 fish coins; at the cap the sell center stops accepting sales.
- Unweighed fish sell at their base price. The 「秤重台」 (scale) rolls a weight within the species' range, and the price becomes base price × weight ÷ average weight — it can go above or below base, averaging out the same. Each fish can only be weighed once.
- After fish data changes, unweighed old fish can be put in the 「魚貨更新台」 (fish updater) to get the current version; weighed fish are left as they are.

Rod augments
Augments are permanent upgrades on a rod. There are 7 kinds, each 3,288 fish coins in the fish-coin shop. Put the rod and an augment into the 「配件升級台」 (augment table): every level costs one augment plus a fee. If it fails, that augment is used up, but the rod keeps its current level.
| Augment | Effect | Per level | Max |
|---|---|---|---|
| 雙潮 (Twin Tide) | Chance to catch two fish at once; not in rain | +10% trigger chance | Lv.5 |
| 喚雨 (Stormcaller) | Chance to catch two fish at once, only in rain | +10% trigger chance | Lv.5 |
| 海之智 (Wisdom of the Sea) | More fishing XP | +10% | Lv.5 |
| 棲域擾動 (Habitat Shift) | Chance to swap this cast's habitat for a random other one, so you can catch other habitats' fish; can get in the way when you want a specific habitat | +10% trigger chance | Lv.5 |
| 垂釣宗師 (Grand Angler) | When it triggers, raises the weight of higher rarities and bumps the catch up one rarity tier | +10% trigger chance, +12% weight | Lv.5 |
| 鐵紋纏線 (Iron Weave) | Higher max durability; 2,100 at Lv.8 | +40% | Lv.8 |
| 匠修之手 (Tinker Touch) | Cheaper repairs; −64% at Lv.8 | −8% | Lv.8 |
| Target level | The five Lv.5 augments | Iron Weave, Tinker Touch |
|---|---|---|
| Lv.1 | 90%|100 | 90%|100 |
| Lv.2 | 70%|500 | 80%|200 |
| Lv.3 | 50%|800 | 60%|400 |
| Lv.4 | 30%|1,200 | 50%|700 |
| Lv.5 | 15%|2,800 | 40%|1,100 |
| Lv.6 | — | 30%|1,600 |
| Lv.7 | — | 20%|2,200 |
| Lv.8 | — | 10%|3,000 |
- Adding a 「配件保護券」 (augment protection voucher) keeps the augment if the upgrade fails. The voucher is used up either way; you get them from weekly guild requests.
- Augments cannot be removed once applied, so decide which rod gets what before upgrading.

Bait
Bait is bound to a rod at the 「魚餌工作台」 (bait bench), and each catch uses one charge. A rod can only hold one kind of bait at a time — use it up before switching — and charges stack up to 1,000.
| Bait | Effect | Regular | Bulk (1,000 charges) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 稀珍誘餌 (Rare Lure) | +40% weight for rare and above | 10 charges / 300 | 45,000 |
| 經驗精華餌 (EXP Essence) | +25% fishing XP | 10 charges / 250 | 37,500 |
| 雙鉤餌 (Double Hook) | Every catch gives two fish | 5 charges / 500 | 150,000 |
/fish baitBait bench: bind bait to a rod/fish baitshopBait shop, paid in fish coins
Durability and repairs
- Tide durability starts at 500 and drops by 1 with every catch; at 0 you can no longer catch anything. It is separate from vanilla durability, so unbreakable rods lose it too.
- Repair cost = missing durability × 3 fish coins; each Tinker Touch level takes 8% off, and each Iron Weave level adds 40% max durability.
- With the automatic rod repair perk (sponsor rank 「創世脈守」), the rod repairs itself with fish coins when durability hits 0, as long as you can afford it.

Fishing hotspots
- Every 120 minutes a hotspot appears at a spot where people have been fishing recently. Only one exists at a time, it lasts 10 minutes, and the server announces it when it appears.
- Within 12 blocks of a hotspot: +50% weight for rare and above and +30% fishing XP, stacking with bait, augments and stars.
/fish hotspotShow the current hotspot's coordinates, distance and time left
Legendary giant fish
- From fishing level 10, every cast has a 0.2% chance to hook a legendary giant fish; after one appears, you won't meet another for 30 minutes.
- Once hooked, keep right-clicking to reel within 8 seconds; each click adds 12% progress, and a full bar lands it. If time runs out, it gets away.
- Success pays 1,000 fish coins and is announced on the server. Each star on your rod raises the trigger chance by a further 2% (relative).
Fishing guild requests
You get 3 daily requests (refreshed at 00:00) and 1 weekly request (refreshed Monday 00:00); claim the rewards from the request panel.
| Request | Goal | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Catch fish | 8 fish | 250 fish coins, 40 XP |
| Habitat | 5 fish in the given habitat | 450 fish coins, 60 XP, Rare Lure ×1 |
| Rarity | 1 rare fish (2 uncommon fish if your level can't reach rare yet) | 750 fish coins, 100 XP, EXP Essence ×1 |
| Fishing level | Goal (count / habitat / rarity) | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Lv.1–9 | 50 / 20 / 12 uncommon | 3,000 fish coins, 500 XP, Double Hook ×1, protection voucher ×1 |
| Lv.10–24 | 80 / 32 / 4 rare | 4,500 fish coins, 750 XP, Double Hook ×1, protection voucher ×1 |
| Lv.25–49 | 120 / 50 / 7 rare | 6,000 fish coins, 1,000 XP, Double Hook ×1, protection voucher ×1 |
| Lv.50+ | 180 / 75 / 10 rare | 9,000 fish coins, 1,500 XP, Double Hook ×2, protection voucher ×1 |

Rod star forging
A rod with any 5 augments at max level can be star-forged with fish coins. Every star makes that rod stronger, up to ★40.
- Cost = 30,000 + 10,000 × current stars; success rate = 70% − 2% × current stars, at least 10%.
- Below ★10 a failure keeps your stars; from ★10 a failure drops one star unless you turn on 「保星」 (star ward), which doubles the cost but prevents the drop.
- Each star: +1% weight for rare and above, +1% fishing XP and +2% (relative) giant fish chance; bonuses count up to ★30.
- The first time a rod reaches ★10, ★20, ★30 and ★40 you earn the titles 〔✦淬星漁匠〕, 〔✦星海漁聖〕, 〔✦天穹漁神〕 and 〔✦萬古漁仙〕.
Stars belong to that rod and do not carry over to another one.

FAQ
My rod suddenly stopped catching anything?
Its tide durability hit 0. Repair it with fish coins at the repair station (/fish repair).
Why can't I sell my fish?
Either today's selling limit is used up (it resets at 00:00), or you are at the 1,000,000 fish-coin cap — spend some first.
What happens if an augment upgrade fails?
The augment you put in is used up, but the rod's augment level does not drop. A protection voucher saves the augment.
If I switch rods, do augments and stars come along?
No. Augments, bait, durability and stars all stay on the original rod.
Why do I sometimes catch enchanted books or saddles?
Vanilla treasure and junk are kept as they are; only vanilla fish are turned into HuanLan fish.
