Joining and basics
What is the server address?
HuanLan's server address is huanlan.org.
Which version does the server support?
The current version is 1.21.11; the server follows Minecraft updates.
Is Bedrock Edition supported?
No. You can only join with Minecraft Java Edition.
Do I need a paid Minecraft account?
Yes. HuanLan only accepts genuine (paid) Minecraft accounts.
Is there a whitelist?
No whitelist; just enter the address to join.
What if I can't connect, time out or my session expires?
Fully restart the game and try again; if it still fails, ask on Discord or open a ticket.
What kind of server is HuanLan?
HuanLan is a survival RPG Minecraft server; the main activities are survival, dungeons, gear progression and accessories.
New players
How do I open the menu?
Type menu or /menu, or press Shift + F.
What should I do after joining for the first time?
Start the beginner quest, claim the starter kit, then play; after that choose survival or dungeons as you like.
Where are the tutorial and the beginner quest?
You're sent to the tutorial automatically on your first join; if you leave, type /newbieTeaching or use Menu → Dungeon Adventure → Tutorial. The beginner quest scroll is in the chest next to the 「神秘商人」 in the lobby: finish its 5 mining tasks within 24 hours for a netherite pickaxe.
Where do I claim gift packs?
In the lobby gift area: Menu → Shop & Trade → Gift house, or /warp lobby_禮包區. It has a daily random gift (once every 24 hours), 20/50/100-player gifts and a lottery machine; /pkit also offers hourly, daily and weekly gifts.
Servers and teleporting
How do I return to the main lobby?
Type /s to go to the lobby server (the main lobby).
How do I get to the survival servers?
Type /s01, /s02 or /s03 for Survival 1, 2 or 3.
How do I set and return to a home?
Use /sethome to set a home and /home to teleport back.
How do I teleport to a random spot?
Type /rtp to teleport to a random location on the map.
How do I open my portable backpack?
Type /bag to open it.
Worlds and death
Is there a resource world?
The resource world is currently closed.
Do the survival world, Nether or End reset?
The survival world and the Nether never reset; the End resets once a year.
Do I lose items or experience when I die?
No. Dying in survival or in dungeons does not drop your items or experience.
Dungeons
How do I get to the dungeons?
Use Menu → Dungeon Adventure, or /warp stst01 to /warp stst06 to go straight to a dungeon. /stst is dungeon server 1 (Yuanlin Forest, Ice Crystal Snowfield, Kingdom of Heaven), /stst02 is dungeon server 2 (Yuehe Planet, Origin of the Glass Realm, Cyberpunk) and /stst03 is the challenge-dungeon server.
Which dungeon should beginners start with?
Start with the first dungeon, Yuanlin Forest. Skipping ahead is not recommended, since your gear or progress may not be enough.
What are the dungeon warps?
/warp stst01 Yuanlin Forest, /warp stst02 Ice Crystal Snowfield, /warp stst03 Kingdom of Heaven, /warp stst04 Yuehe Planet, /warp stst05 Origin of the Glass Realm, /warp stst06 Cyberpunk.
Can I enter and leave dungeons freely?
Yes. HuanLan's large dungeons are open dungeons.
Are dungeon mobs shared?
Yes, dungeon mobs are shared by all players.
How are boss rewards decided?
By damage contribution: the top 3 receive rewards by rank, and anyone else whose total damage to that boss reaches the threshold, and who is online when it falls, gets a participation reward. Killing mobs also gives rewards.
How do I know when a boss respawns?
Right-click a dungeon on the Dungeon Adventure page to see how long until its boss respawns.
Do dungeons have a party system?
Large dungeons have no party system; the challenge dungeons 獄府幽魂 and 喪屍野瘋狂 allow parties of up to 3, while 輪迴 is solo only.
Gear and accessories
Where do I get gear?
Farm dungeons for materials, then forge gear at the dungeon NPC near each dungeon entrance.
How do I tell if gear is strong?
Gear is judged only by its attributes: higher values are stronger, and later dungeons have higher attribute ranges.
How do I open the RPG / weapon system menu?
Type /sx menu.
How do I open the accessory system?
Type /sx menu and click the accessory system, or type /sx relic directly.
Can gear or accessories be upgraded?
There's currently no gear upgrading open to players, and accessories can't be upgraded either.
Can I bind my gear?
Yes: /bind binds an item and /unbind removes the binding. Keep your gear safe.
Can lost gear or items be restored?
Report it in a ticket; items lost through your own mistake are usually not compensated.
Economy and claims
How do I earn coins?
Killing mobs, jobs, the daily sign-in (1,000 a day), events and selling in the player shop.
Is there a jobs system?
Yes. In the main lobby and on survival servers, use /menu_job to join one of 12 jobs; you can only have one at a time.
How do I use the player shop?
Type /ah to open it; hold an item and type /ah sell <price>, then repeat within 30 seconds to confirm; manage your listings with /ah sell menu. The tax is 5%.
Is player-shop income paid out automatically?
No. Collect it with /ah claims (/ah claims all collects everything at once).
How do I give coins to another player? Is there a fee?
Type /pay <player> <amount>; there's no fee, and it works even if they're offline.
How do I claim land?
Type /res create <name> to create a claim; type /res for help with permissions, trusting or removing friends, deleting claims and more.
How big can a claim be and what does it cost?
The maximum size and cost depend on your rank; see the rank page for each rank's numbers.
How do I change claim settings?
Use /res set; some risky settings are off by default.
Rules, events and support
Where do I report a problem?
Join the Discord (discord.huanlan.org), go to the 「申請幫助-客服單」 channel and click the button to open a ticket.
What should a ticket include?
Your in-game ID, when it happened, screenshots and a description of the problem.
Can I appeal a wrong judgement or ban?
Yes. Open a ticket and explain the problem.
Where are the server rules?
The official text is on the HuanLan Rules page; penalties for each rule are on the wiki's Rules & Penalties page.
Where are events announced?
Events are usually announced on Discord, and new events are also pushed as chat messages in game.
What can I get from events?
Events give coins, and rewards also include HuanLan point vouchers (幻嵐點卷).
Where can I find sponsorship and VIP information?
See the Sponsor HuanLan and Ranks pages on this site; if a sponsorship hasn't arrived, open a ticket.
Can I ask other players?
Yes. If you're unsure about a command or feature, ask players online or in the public Discord channels.
